July 5 – Environmentalists this week attacked the US Navy over the environmental impact of its underwater training exercises in the waters off Washington State and Hawaii.

I had heard that the Navy excercises and use of sonar was damaging the ocean environment but I hadn't ever seen/read about the evidence. After reading this article, I can only think... wow, there's got to be a better way.
